Thanks to the new batch of images we now know the Samsung SCH-R910 is the same device as Samsung Forte. Two weeks ago we were not sure, but now we know it – this is the first MetroPCS’ LTE smartphone. It’s still not launched though, leaving space for some other handset maker to join the party in the meantime.
As you may know from our previous post, we’re talking about a side-slider with full QWERTY keyboard, 5-megapixel camera, WiFi, 1GHz processor, and other “standard for Android” goodies like GPS, Bluetooth and a microSD memory expansion slot. Sammy’s own TouchWIZ will run on top of Android 2.2.1, which hopefully will be upgradable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Finally if you need more photos as a proof, check out this Flickr photostream.
