Apple has released a new commercial for the iPad called “iPad is Iconic.” The Apple tablet has been a huge success so far, and now it also boasts over 60,000 apps made just for the larger iOS device. In the new commercial, we get to catch a glimpse of what the iPad has to offer and the variety of things you can do with it – there are DJ apps, magazines and you can even check in at airports with electronic tickets on the iPad.

When your product has been so popular that even Oprah says it’s one of her most favorite things, I guess it’s fair to call it iconic. And while many new Android tablets will be coming out this year – many of which are formidable alternatives to the iPad for most of us geeks – the general consumer might still think the iPad is the only real tablet out there.

We’re expecting to hear from Apple very soon regarding the next generation iPad, or the iPad 2 as most of us have been calling it. While it won’t have the retina display many of us were hoping for, it’ll probably pack some things that most of us would appreciate – like SD card slots, a front-facing camera and more horsepower under the hood.

Check out the commercial below and let us know what you think!
