Blingalicious 18k gold BlackBerry Torch 9800 almost makes up for the fact that it’s a Torch 9800

Alright, I won’t hate on BlackBerry too much, but I’d be kidding myself if I pretended that the Torch 9800 was a pretty big disappointment for many BlackBerry fans when it was announced. At the time, most new smartphones were launching with 1GHz processors and ridiculously high-resolution screens. The Torch 9800, on the other hand, looked antiquated by comparison and the new OS 6 was still a bit clunky. But if you’re a die-hard BlackBerry fan, preferably a rich one as well, you can pick up one that is blinged out with 18k gold.

The Alexander Amosu creation will set you back a hefty $12,000, but it’s a small price to pay to show everyone that you didn’t want to spring for a Vertu. You can get it in yellow, rose or pink gold colors and customize it with diamonds and a python or crocodile case.

Come to think of it, you know who I can really picture just using this totally ostentatious smartphone? No one.
