Motorola Milestone X heading to Bluegrass Cellular

We were wondering what happened to the Milestone X, the version of the Droid X for GSM-based networks. Of all the carriers, it seems Kentucky-based regional operator Bluegrass Celullar will be among the first ones to get Moto’s hot all-touchscreen Android smartphone. We would think some major carrier group like Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange or Telefonica will jump on-board first, but we would be wrong.

The page at Bluegrass’ website dedicated to Android devices says “coming soon,” leaving us to wonder and speculate on the exact launch date.

Specs wise, we’re talking about an identical product to what Verizon is already offering with features including a 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, 8-megapixel camera that can take 720p HD video, 3G and WiFi connectivity, 1GHz processor and so on.

In the meantime, Bluegrass is offering the Samsung Gem, a mid-range Android phone with a 3.2-megapixel camera, HVGA display, Swype text input pre-loaded and other “standard for Android” goodies.

You can sign-up and be notified when the Milestone X starts selling from here.
