Virgin Mobile USA has officially announced its version of the LG Optimus One – Optimus V. Specs wise, we’re talking about the same device as Optimus S, which is sold by Sprint (which BTW is Virgin Mobile USA’s parent company). In that sense, expect the same 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel camera, 3G and WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth, media player, microSD card slot and other “standard for Android” goodies and sensors, plus pre-installed Swype making it faster and easier to input text.

Moreover, Virgin Mobile is also offering the device with access to Virgin Mobile Live, an online music stream of performances by past and present Virgin Mobile Festival artists including studio tracks, exclusive Festival performances and more, for free!

All this could be yours for only $149.99. Plus, you may grab some service plan, which at Virgin Mobile starts at $25 and goes up to $60.

The LG Optimus V comes in an eco-friendly packaging made out of 100% recycled plastic and uses almost 50% less plastic.
