Good news for our German readers – Google Nexus S is heading your way. Vodafone will apparently be the first carrier in the country to offer the Android 2.3 Gingerbread-powered smartphone which is made Samsung.
The Nexus S has reportedly showed up on Vodafone’s “Coming Soon” page, though I couldn’t verify that because of my limited (to say the least) knowledge of German language.
It is believed the Big Red will offer the device free of charge on some hefty contract that most likely doesn’t go below 45 EUR a month.
And once Germany (as an important market) is cleared, we’ve no doubts Voda will try to sell this baby in other countries where it has established networks.
As you may know, the Nexus S is pretty much the same specs wise as the Samsung Galaxy S. The only difference between the two is that Nexus comes with a built-in NFC capability and plain vanilla Android UI, whereas the Galaxy S has Samsung’s TouchWIZ UI running on top of Android core.
