Huawei has begun teasing what they’ll be launching next week at Mobile World Congress: a follow-up to their S7 tablet, called the S7 Slim, and a fresh addition to their Ideos lineup, the X3. Based on some other snaps in the Flickr account hosting the images, the Slim looks like it will deserve the name. The Ideos X3 will also sport a pretty slim profile, and be available in a variety of colours: white, black, blue, and red. It looks like the X3 has a front-facing camera too, but they’ve often been confused with proximity sensors.
Huaiwei’s devices don’t tend to be especially mind-blowing, but odds are good that these two will be relatively cheap. With decent Android tablets costing upwards of $700, the world can certainly use some more affordable alternatives.
Regardless, details on either device are scant; we don’t even know if they run Android, but it’s a pretty safe assumption to make given the lineage. MWC is only a week away, so we’ll keep our ears open and eyes peeled for both the S7 Slim and Ideos X3.
