Thanks to Vodafone, users in 24 countries around the world will be able to play with the still only Android 2.3 Gingerbread-runnin’ smartphone – Google’s Nexus S. Best of all, the carrier will offer both the black and white editions of the device.
On the downside though, Nexus S which will be offered by Vodafone will come with a Super Clear LCD screen and not the Super AMOLED one. This isn’t a biggie — at least not in my book since the Super Clear LCD also rocks — but it does show us Samsung is struggling to produce enough Super AMOLED screens. Hopefully, they’re leaving enough of these units for the Galaxy S2, which we expect to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Specs wise, the Nexus S comes with a 4-inch display, 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording capability, HSPA and WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, 1GHz processor, NFC capability and other “standard for Android” goodies.
