At HP’s event this morning (liveblog ongoing), it was confirmed that the long-awaited Palm Pre 2 would be available for pre-order on Verizon starting tomorrow. Of course, now that they’ve announced the Pre 3, it’s hard to imagine anyone with an iota of patience wanting to pick up the Pre 2. As for the actual shipping date, the latest info pointed to February 17.
The Palm Pre 2 has a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, 3.1-inch HVGA touchscreen, Wi-Fi (with mobile hotspot), GPS, 3G, and a 5 megapixel camera. The webOS software is smooth, multitasking-friendly, and plugs right into multiple social networks. Personally, I enjoyed my time with the phone; feel free to take a look at our full review of the Rogers HP Palm Pre 2 for a deep dive.
It doesn’t look like there’s any landing page at Verizon just yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
