Sony Ericsson announced the Xperia neo, a companion handset to the recently announced Xperia pro. The neo lacks the portrait QWERTY keyboard of the pro, but includes the same 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 854 x 48 (FWVGA) resolution and Sony’s Mobile Bravia engine. Other features include:
- 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon™ MSM8255
- 8-megapixel camera with an Exmor R sensor, LED flash and HD video recording
- front-facing 2-megapixel camera
- 3.5 mm audio jack
- aGPS
- Bluetooth™ technology
- DLNA
- HDMI support
- Wi-Fi
- microSD expansion: 8 GB included, supports up to 32 GB
- dimensions and weight of 116 x 57 x 13 mm and 126 grams
- color choices include blue Gradient, red and silver
- Google™Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
