We told ya’ Glu Mobile is preparing to launch games for the first Honeycomb tablets and voila – they are (almost) here. The mobile gaming company is using the Big Show in Barcelona to unveil the first games developed specifically for the Android 3.0 Honeycomb platform and optimized on the NVIDIA Tegra 2 mobile super chip – Gun Bros and Glyder 2.

In addition to sharp graphics and fast game play, the two titles feature:

  • Gun Bros – More realistic shading, ambient lighting, environmental effects and Open GL 3D graphics.
  • Glyder 2 – Improved 3D graphics and accelerometer powered controls.

And that’s just a start. Glu has more than 25 of its games available for Android smartphones and we expect to see most, if not all, of them being ported and optimized for Honeycomb tablets made by companies like Motorola, HTC, Acer, Asus, Samsung and so on. Moreover, they also have quite a few iPhone only games, which again may be ported to the big-screen Android products.
