Nuance is bringing its multi-modal FlexT9 app for Android to Europe with support for six languages, including US and UK English, German, French, Italian and Spanish. The FlexT9 combines various Nuance products like Dragon Dictation, T9 Trace, T9 Write and XT9, giving consumers ability to choose how they want to communicate with their friends and colleagues – whether they speak, trace write or tap.
- Speak – Nuance’s Dragon Dictation turns talk into text and can be used for emails, text messages, Facebook and Twitter updates, web searches, instant messaging and so on.
- Trace – Continuous touch a la Swype is getting increasingly popular these days. With Nuance’s T9 Trace, users glide their finger from one letter to the next on the virtual keypad and the software does the rest.
- Write – With T9 Write, users draw words and phrases, numbers, symbols, accented characters and more on the touchscreen.
- Tap – XT9 predictive text input technology is already available on billions of phones around the world, enabling the next word prediction, word completion, Sloppy-Type word error correction, spell correction, etc.
FlexT9 is available for download in the Android Market for $4.99 USD in English (US and UK), German, French, Italian and Spanish, supporting Android 2.1 and higher.
