Redbox launches Android application, refreshes iOS app

Redbox rolled out a new Android application for folks that enjoy renting movies. The Android application helps you find Redbox kiosk locations and lets you browse available titles. You can also reserve movies for pickup later using your Android handset. The Redbox application is available for free from the Android Market.

Besides Android, Redbox also updated its iOS application to includes movie box art and faster performance so renting movie on the go is that much easier. Similar to the Android version, the iOS application is available as a free upgrade in the App Store. Redbox also updated its website, bringing many of the features found its mobile apps to the web. The new web interface lets you browse and reserve up to five movies at a time from a local kiosk.
