LG announced today that its Optimus 2X, formerly know as the LG Star, is ready to make its official European debut Europe in March. Announced in December 2010, the Optimus 2X launched in Korea in January and became the world’s first dual-core smartphone to hit the market. Its impressive set of specs include:
- NVIDIA Tegra 2 Processor with 1GHz Dual-core Processor
- 4-inch WVGA screen
- 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front camera
- 8GB onboard memory
- microSD expansion (up to 32GB)
- 1080p MPEG-4/H.264 Recording and Playback
- HDMI out
- Micro-USB connectivity
- 1,500 mAh battery
- Adobe Flash Player 10.1 support
- Android 2.2 with a Gingerbread (Android 2.3) available soon after launch
The Optimus 2X is an early leader in the dual-core revolution which is now beginning to take off.
