We’ve already seen the Samsung Galaxy S2 appearing at one Swiss retailer and now the Android smartphone has been spotted in the UK. The British retailer Clove has started accepting pre-orders for the device with shipments expected to commence as soon as next month.
The 16GB Galaxy S2 could be yours for 510 GBP (about 596 EUR) sans VAT. Add the taxes to the mix and you get to the 612 GBP (715 EUR) price point. You may think that’s expensive, but wait until you read the price of the 32GB model which is 80 GBP more expensive, driving the price to 708 GBP (about 828 EUR). That’s a lot even for a device as capable as the Samsung Galaxy S2.
On the other hand, this is the rich early adopters’ price and we’re sure the figure will go down the second the phone becomes wildly available. I wouldn’t be surprised that every single major operator in the UK has it in its respective portfolio. Then, with some decent plan that costs at least 30-35 GBP per month, you will be able to get back home with the powerful smartphone in your pocket — that’s in case you’re not ordering online, of course. 😉
