You gotta give some credit to Russia-based SPB Software. They try really hard to bring mobile TV to the world and make us closer to the ever-advanced markets of South Korea and Japan where users have been enjoying TV on-the-go for quite some time now. Their SPB TV application is available for quite a few platforms, feature phones included. And lately they’ve updated the Symbian client, which works on both touch and non-touch S60 phones as well as new Symbian^3 devices like the N8, C7, E7 and so on.
There few new things included in this release such as higher quality TV streams, better performance and (mentioned) wider device compatibility. SPB TV remains a free app with SPB Software getting its money from ads that are displayed while the channel is buffering.
Included in the deal are more than 100 subscription-free TV channels from over 17 countries, quick channel preview, integrated TV guide with quick channel selection, and so on… You can download SPB TV from the company’s website or from Nokia’s Ovi Store.
