The Samsung Epic 4G and the Galaxy Tab Android tablet are getting an update soon, and it’s a big one for Epic owners as they’ll be getting Android 2.2 Froyo. For both Epic 4G owners and Galaxy Tab users, Sprint ID will be included in the update, too – for better or worse. Some users find that Sprint ID makes their handsets slow as molasses, and many Epic and Galaxy Tab owners are savvy enough that they don’t need suggested bundled packs of apps (of course, it’s not all about the user’s interest here, either).
The update should start rolling out this week, and by March 24 everyone ought to have it. Epic 4G users will have access to all the perks and bonuses of Android 2.2, like Flash 10.2, the ability to store apps in the SD card and Bluetooth dialing.
