U.S. Cellular updated three of the smartphones from its portfolio.
First comes the Samsung Mesmerize, which is the carrier’s version of the Galaxy S smartphone. Users are getting the Android 2.2 Froyo update, which will make their web browsing faster, while also adding new features to the mix, including integrated support for Microsoft Exchange, mobile hotspot capability (requires a tethering plan), and the ability to access Adobe Flash content.
The other two devices that are being updated are BlackBerry Curve 9330 and Bold 9650, both of which are getting BlackBerry OS 6.0. As you probably already know, the latest version of RIM’s mobile OS sports fluid design, simplified setup, social feeds and views, new media player, universal search and way-better web browsing experience.
Samsung Mesmerize owners should visit this page to get instructions on how to update their phone, while those with the two BlackBerry devices should hop over here and click on the “Download” button for their phone.
