The three things I would do would be:
1. Save all of my school and work documents on my computer, then edit and turn them in from my mobile device, negating the need to carry around my laptop.

1. My life would simplify. I could travel the world only with my iPad, with the certainty of knowing that all I need is in my wonderful tablet.
2. I could stream media on the go. Everybody loves to enjoy a good movie or a tv show, I AM SO INTO TV SERIES. I believe in cloud computing, this will be just perfect.
3. My computer would become a thing of the past, simply abandoned in a corner to access your files via my iPhone 4 or, my next iPad 2 (if you win). That would be awesome.

I would transfer my grandfather’s old WW2 photographs over to the iPad2. I would also put “Saving Private Ryan” (his favorite war movie) on it. Then we could look at his old pics in the photo album and reminisce and watch Private Ryan. He is 94 years old and he landed on Omaha Beach in Normandy on D-Day. That is the very beach depicted in the opening of “Saving Private Ryan”. America lost many good men on that beach, but my Grandpa lost many good, close personal friends.

I think the real question here is; what cant I do from my mobile device. I can already view my documents via my Gmail, I can access my music via most music apps and I have all my messengers and Facebook on my phone. So what does that leave?
1. I would love to be able to access all my games. If I want to hop on EvE online or my steam account and play a game, that would be awesome.
2. The ability to upload Android hacks for my Captivate. If the XDA forums has a new mod out there I can sync it to my phone via my PC and then access it.
3. Skype. Most of us use Skype now days. I would like to be able to use the full functionality of Skype on my phone. Therefor, being able to use my PC to view files and others Skype productivity features via my phone would make life much easier.

Universal file access would be great. As a consultant, I have my own systems, systems at my employer, and systems for my customer. Being able to access all of those from my mobile device would put an end to being in front of one system and not having a file I need, talk about an efficiency gain! When traveling, I would be better prepared to pull something together ad hoc, either to reference data I didn’t think I would need or to show a new friend personal pictures. Last but not least, I would enjoy being about to use and share my own media without storing it with some 3rd party service.

1. carefully select mobile-accessible applications on the desktop: most desktop apps are simply not made for finger interaction (e.g. because of tiny scrollbars, made for use with the mouse). I am a mobile Mom. I work full-time outside the home, adore my ever-supportive husband, have a preschooler just getting into activities, run a blog to keep the extended family up to date with all the happenings, and try to way to have it all while keeping my sanity. My Mother Runner (10K and 1/2 marathon training) group helps to keep me grounded. I don’t know what I would do without Google apps to tell me where, when, and with whom I am doing what, but I am always wishing I had one more thing with me.

I would use the Cloud to have better access to my photos and editing while on the go. This will get those blog postings up so much faster. The ability to have all my documents at a glance rather than the ones I uploaded to Google Docs would be a life saner. I waste too much time searching for something I should have at my fingertips. The last is the one just for me, access to my music when I need it most – to try to find that Mommy balance moment in the midst of chaos.
