Samsung, LG, HP, HTC, RIM, and Motorola have all jumped into the tablet market with both feet, and Sony Ericsson won’t be too far behind, apparently. Sony CEO Howard Stringer revealed that they would be releasing an Android tablet running 3.0 Honeycomb by the end of the summer in the U.S. market.
If Sony Ericsson can bring the same level of hardware design polish as they have with some beauties like the Xperia Arc, and do a better job with software updates than they had with the X10, I could see them doing well with the form factor. A lot of that would hinge on how heavily customized it would be with stuff like Timescape, but with Google clinching manufacturer control and the source code for Honeycomb still not available, it may be a moot point. Now, if such a product could get similar PlayStation accreditation as the Play, we could see some truly impressive Android games that rival what the iPad currently offers.
Anything in particular you guys would like to see from a Sony Ericsson tablet?
