We never doubted Angry Birds Rio will be a popular game, quite the contrary. Still, the official figures left us speechless. 10 million downloads in 10 days – WOW!

The number includes both the iOS and Android devices, with latter getting the free ad-supported version of the game.

As you know, Angry Birds Rio is variation of the game with characters from the upcoming animated movie Rio. It will be updated at least four times this year, in May, July, October, and November. Amazon scored the exclusive launch deal, offering Rovio’s baby before it was available in the Android Market.

As a reminder, the original Angry Birds has been downloaded more than 100 million times since its debut in 2009.
