The HTC Desire S is a powerful smartphone so we’re not surprised that pretty much every major mobile operator wants to have it in its portfolio. When it comes to the UK, we’ve already reported that Vodafone and Three will (or already do) sell HTC’s Android baby. Now we have Orange joining the party, offering it for free to folks willing to commit on a two-year 35 GBP a month contract.
As you know, that money buys you a Gingerbread-powered smartphone which gets its power from Qualcomm’s 1GHz Scorpion processor. Rest of the specs include a 3.7-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera that can take 720p HD video at 30 fps, front-facing VGA camera for video calls, HSPA and WiFi connectivity, GPS, an array of sensors and a memory card slot.
At the moment of this writing, I couldn’t find the Desire S on Orange’s website, despite they saying it should be in. Guess webmasters are late with the task…
