
A month or so after the beta version was unveiled, Adobe has officially released Flash Player 10.2 for Android Honeycomb devices. This final release takes advantage of Google’s enhancements in an upcoming update to Honeycomb, including hardware accelerated playback of 720p high-definition video. Moreover, the new version also addresses the Flash Player vulnerability announced on April 15th for all versions of Android.
To download Flash Player 10.2 on your Motorola Xoom (or some other Honeycomb device), simply hit the link below and take it from there.
Adobe’s plan moving forward is to continue delivering improvements in performance, quality, security and/or new features with each new release of Flash Player and AIR. Devices and software updates which introduce new technologies are being developed on varied schedules (depending on the device maker’s plans) that are different from Adobe’s and in that sense Flash Player and/or AIR may not be optimized or supported on some of these devices until a subsequent release…
