A company called iLoop Mobile is preparing to launch a novel service early this summer. Dubbed SlingShop, the mobile app/service combo was developed for small and mid-sized businesses as a much needed alternative to current “deal-a-day” services.
iLoop Mobile says their baby combines the best features available in loyalty programs, mobile keychain applications and group buying websites, providing retailers with a single, simplified console from which to directly reach and retain targeted customers. In that sense, retailers can track customer purchases and reward them when they have reached a certain number of purchases or, when customers don’t return in a while, send them a special deal.
At the same time, SlingShop also provides benefits to customers, alerting them about deals nearby and special offers from their favorite brands (which may not be a block away). Moreover, augmented reality and some game elements also come built-in, allowing users to actually see what’s hot in the area they’re currently in.
You may be thinking it’s “yet another local deals” service and I don’t blame you, cause we’ve heard quite a few similar stories in the past. However, I think SlingShop is a promising service as you’re about to see for yourself from a short demo video below. Enjoy!
