Golden iPad 2

We’ve seen quite a few Apple products dipped in gold so why would the iPad 2 be any different? It isn’t, quite the contrary with London and Dubai-based Gold & Co. launching such a device at the prestigious Jumeria Ladies Club in Dubai.

This special edition of Apple’s tablet is plated in 24-carat gold and available in strictly limited edition of 250 pieces. Each unit is individually numbered and presented in a handmade box.

The price you ask? It’s $6,495. Obviously this isn’t a tablet Average Joe will want to buy. Rather it’s made for the select few, rich enough to spend that much to differentiate themselves wherever they are. If you’re in that group, please consider sponsoring IntoMobile – we definitely deliver better value for the money. ;)

You can get additional details about this special version of the iPad 2 as well as other gold-plated gadgets from Gold & Co.’s website.
