iPhone commercial parody proves how smug Apple can be

You know what I love about Apple commercials? They often show what you can do with the gadgets, rather than tell you what you can do or what kind of screen or processor it has. Wanna check into your flight or buy a cup of coffee with your iPhone? Sure, there are apps that can let you do that. Would you like to read a book or compose a bit of music on the iPad? Knock yourself out. But while Apple is showing us the greatness of these gadgets and how they can simplify the tasks in our lives, they can also come off as a bit smug every now and then.

Recently, there was a commercial that said, “If you don’t have an iPhone, well, you don’t have an iPhone.” Pretty harsh, right? I mean, Android is climbing right up there in terms of features, capabilities and apps (though often not as elegant, simple or pretty as the iPhone’s apps and UI). So someone decided to shine a bit of light on this with a parody that says, “If you don’t have an iPhone, frankly, go f*ck yourself.” Nice. And when you think about it, it’s sort of the message Apple was sending in its original ad.

Anyway, it’s hilarious. Check it out.
