Just when we thought Best Buy has the best deal for Sprint’s Nexus S 4G ($150), Wirefly surprised us with its own offering. The retailer is asking $99.99 for the second “pure” Google smartphone, which is really a great price for a device as capable as the Nexus S.
However, it’s only the new Sprint customers who can get the phone for 100 bucks. If you already have a Sprint contract, you can upgrade for $50 more ($149.99), which is still a good deal. Of course, a two-year contract is required both for new and existing customers.
Sprint’s “official” price is $199.99 so Wirefly is basically offering a 50% discount.
As a reminder, the Nexus S 4G is Sprint’s version of the Nexus S (offered by T-Mobile) that is tailored to sing along the carrier’s WiMAX network. It comes with a large 4-inch WVGA touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with HD video recording capability, 16GB of built-in storage, an array of sensors, while Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show.
