Dealforce for iPhone

Comparison shopping website Nextag launched Dealforce, a free mobile app for the iPhone with the mission to “bring shopping back to the streets.” The application comes preloaded with tons of deals, but the idea here is to add deals you spot and share them with other Dealforce users. To make that possible, the application is relying on a GPS receiver to pinpoint your location and include it [location] with the deal information.

And that’s not all. The social element is also built in, allowing users to interact with one another and show their appreciation for some deal by publicly “Loving” it (a la Facebook “Like”). Needless to say, the more people “Love” some deal, it will emerge at the top of the search results.

Finally when it comes to merchants, they can also participate by posting hot deals to eventually increase local foot traffic to their stores.

Naturally the iPhone app is just a start, with Nextag planning to launch the Android version in the near future. In the meantime, those of you owning an Apple handset can grab Dealforce from a link below.
