T-Mobile G2 and Sidekick 4G free with contract tonight only

T-Mobile announced on Twitter that it will be holding an “Insomnia Sale” for the G2 and the Sidekick 4G. From the looks of things, it’s a pretty damn good sale if you can stay awake for it. You can pick up either device for free if you sign a new, two-year contract. So if you were on the fence about joining T-Mobile because of the looming acquisition by AT&T, maybe FREE might be enough to sway you.

The G2 is certainly a very capable device, and it’s perfect for folks who want a vanilla Android device with a physical QWERTY keyboard. The Sidekick 4G really won me over even though I’m not a fan of custom UIs on Android. It’s still very much like the Sidekicks of yesteryear.

If you think you’re up for a new contract with the nation’s fourth largest carrier, the sale takes place tonight between the hours of 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. PST, or 12 midnight until 6 a.m. EST.
