It’s “Android porting” craze out there. OpenFeint and ScoreLoops have such programs in place and now Tapjoy is joining the party with a brand new $5 million Android Fund. As part of the deal, they will offer monetary and development support to game developers looking to port existing content and apps to the Android platform.

Tapjoy will provide full porting and testing services to ensure the apps work on all of the leading Android handsets, while also providing developers with its virtual currency monetization engine, game state server for virtual economy management, mobile analytics platform and other value-added services. Additionally, selected games will receive free marketing credits for new user acquisition through the company’s performance-based ad network.

Of course it is presumed apps which will benefit from this program use Tapjoy’s SDK. That shouldn’t be a problem considering that their tools are already used in more than 1,000 mobile applications, reaching over 200 million mobile consumers…

Interested developers can get additional information from this page on Tapjoy’s website.
