Fuze Telepresence Connect can be integrated with proprietary telepresence systems

FuzeBox unveiled Fuze Telepresence Connect, a new solution that sings along the leading telepresence systems, including Polycom, Tandberg and LifeSize; while at the same time extending video conferencing and voice to any mobile device or computer through integration with Fuze Meeting.

According to the official press release, up until this point high-end video conferencing has been limited to telepresence suites and executive boardrooms. As the “world’s first” gateway for H.323, SIP and H.264, Fuze Telepresence Connect links high-end telepresence systems to a personal device such as iPad, Android and Honeycomb tablets, as well as PCs and Macs.

The solution is said to be error resilience, maintaining continuous high-quality video without broken pictures or other artifacts in environments with high packet loss. Moreover, it also supports resolution and rate matching, dynamic rate control, error localization, while featuring an easy to use web-based interface. It is a part of the FuzeBox Cloud, which allows companies extend their expensive fixed site, telepresence systems to all of their employees in an extremely cost effective way…
