Remember I said the upcoming Huawei MediaPad won’t be as cool as the HTC Flyer. You can forget about that – Huwaei’s baby is way better rocking a dual- rather than single-core processor. Touted to be the “smartest, slimmest and lightest tablet yet,” the MediaPad measures just 10.5mm (0.4 inches) deep while weighing around 390g (0.86 pounds).

Anyway here’s the specs rundown:

  • 7-inch screen – I presume it’s 1024×600 pixels
  • HSPA+ (14.4Mbps) and Wi-Fi connectivity
  • 5-megapixel auto-focus camera on the back with HD video recording capability
  • 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls
  • Qualcomm’s dual-core 1.2GHz CPU
  • Android 3.2 Honeycomb with Flash 10.3 support
  • fePre-installed apps include Facebook, Twitter, Let’s Golf and Documents to Go

When it comes to the release date, the MediaPad will be available in selected markets from Q3 2011. Hopefully we’ll get our review unit sooner than that. Love it!
