If your Android smartphone is occasionally used by someone else like your spouse, child or friend – you may want to consider protecting some of the apps from accessing by other people. Password protection instantly comes to mind but that’s so 20th century, how about something cooler? Facial recognition anyone? Yep that’s the way to go and with the new app called Visidon Applock that’s easy to do.
Simply snap a photo of your face with a front-facing camera (which BTW is required), select the apps you want protected and voila – the next time someone tries to start an app you don’t want them to start, they won’t be able to do so. It all sounds fun and simple for every sexting maniac out there, but there’s one important caveat – the software is far from perfect with people around Interwebs reporting it can be bypassed. I guess this is still some sort of beta and that future releases will get the needed “sexting seal of approval.” In the meantime you can try out Visidon Applock just for fun… or not.
