Samsung’s family of Galaxy devices just got a new member – Galaxy Z. The smartphone, which seems to fit somewhere between the original Galaxy S and Galaxy S2, is available from Three Sweden for free with contracts starting at 300kr (about $47) per month. Alternatively, for those who don’t like putting their signature on a two-year agreement, there’s the option to pay the full price and use the phone on prepaid. This benefit, however, will get 3995 Swedish kronor ($630) out of your pocket in a blink of a second.

Specs wise, the Galaxy Z comes with NVidia’s Tegra 2 1GHz dual-core processor, 4.2-inch WVGA Super Clear LCD touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with 720p video recording (why not 1080p like the Galaxy S2?), 8GB of built-in storage that is further expandable with microSD cards. Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show with Sammy’s own UI singing on top of it. As for the size, it measures 125.3×66.1×9.5 mm and has a weight of 135 grams…

hmm, although you can’t convert SKR to Dollars like that, the phone would prob. be available to the US for $400-450 or ~ $20 a month for a 2 year deal..
