Remember Samsung Wave 578, that NFC-enabled Bada-based smartphone that was unveiled during this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona? If so you may think you know how it looks, but you actually don’t – it just got a subtle makeover. Instead of boasting a rounded home button, it will come with a rectangular one, making it look similar to two other Samsung smartphones – Galaxy S II and Galaxy Ace. Not sure why the change was needed, but what do I know. Maybe there’s some sort of abundance of rectangular buttons at Samsung’s factories or something.
Anyway, the slightly redesigned device was spotted on the bada website and as far as we can see, aside from the different home button, the device remains unchanged. In that sense, it comes with a 3.2-inch WQVGA touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel camera on the back, front-facing VGA camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and a memory card slot. The Wave 578 will be offered by Orange in a number of markets across Europe.
