Bloomberg launches Android app for tablets

Bloomberg wants to be among the first companies to support the growing army of Android tablet owners. Hence they’ve launched a new app called Bloomberg for Tablet, which obviously is tailor-made to take advantage of the big screen modern tablets offer (and is in that sense different from Bloomberg’s “regular” Android app). However, it’s not a Honeycomb-specific application — rather it will work on any tablet running Android 2.1 or higher. This includes the Samsung Galaxy Tab, HTC Flyer as well as a number of not that known products made by Chinese companies.

The official app description goes like this:

Get instant access to all your finance and business news, market data and portfolio tracking tools from the most trusted source financial professionals around the world rely upon. Get comprehensive news coverage along with easy-to-understand charts that illustrate the impact of important business trends and help analyze the world’s markets.
