We’ve covered the HotelTonight app when it landed on the iPhone as a cool way to score a discount on a hotel and the service has now landed on the little, green robot in the form of an Android app.
For those of you who don’t remember, the HotelTonight app lets you book a room for a night at a discounted rate. The company offers you three types of hotels to choose from (basic, elegant and hip) and it’s mainly aimed at those who need a last-minute booking. If you’re the type who travels to conferences even if you can’t find a hotel before heading out there, this app is for you.
The HotelTonight app on Android is neat because it will let you book directly through the app and it generally works pretty darn quickly. The prices are pretty good but it’s not quite the discount it was when the original iPhone app launched (at least here in San Francisco). Still, for a last-minute hotel life saver, the HotelTonight app can come in handy.
