Unannounced Sony Ericsson MT11i rocks single-core CPU, Android OS

It seems Sony Ericsson is working on another single-core Android smartphone, codenamed MT11i. The lack of “K” usually means the phone won’t come with any sort of physical keyboard, relying only on a touchscreen for all the input.

Aside from the phone’s codename, which we got from IT168 — and they got it from the UAProf (user agent profile) hidden deeply in Sony Ericsson’s website — we also know that the upcoming device (presuming it will be released) will come with a screen that has a resolution of 854×480 pixels, which is becoming a standard for pretty much all Xperia phones, excluding the Xperia Mini range.

PhoneArena thinks we may be talking about a smartphone that could sit somewhere between the Xperia Neo and Xperia Ray, rocking a 3.5-inch screen, though that’s just a speculation at the moment. We’ll definitely be watching what’s going on across the Interwebs and let you know as soon as we hear something new. Stay tuned in the meantime, k?
