Mobile social gaming network OpenFeint is on the rage. Their latest announcement is all about China, involving the company’s local partner The9 Limited, with which they plan to distribute Android games in the world’s most populous country. As a matter of fact, the two companies announced that their joint gig, The9 Game Zone powered by OpenFeint, is already distributing 60 live games across 30 app stores in China.

Developers are using The9 Game Zone’s social gaming network as they look for partners to help enter and distribute games in the China market. Among the companies working with The9, we find such big names as Glu Mobile, THQ, Handygames, HyperBees and Advanced Mobile Applications.

And the news doesn’t stop there — remember that $100 million Fund9 that was designed to port iOS games to Android? Well the first five recipients of funding have been unveiled: Pix’n Love Rush by BulkyPix, Shift!2 by Fishing Cactus, iSlash by Duello Games, Mini Motor Racing by Binary Mill, and Babel Rising by BulkyPix.

In the meantime, The9 and Fund9 are continuing to review top-rated mobile games for entry into their Android Porting Program and if you’re interested, you can email them your plans at [email protected] for more information. Good luck! ;)
