Thanks to Clove, we know when the Motorola FIRE will be released in the UK. The American handset maker’s QWERTY keyboard-equipped device will be available in September (we don’t have the exact date) for 215 GBP sans any contract whatsoever. Despite its full QWERTY keyboard, this is still kinda steep for a low-to-mid end device with QVGA display. However, that’s also the launch price and I’m sure that amount will go down in the weeks and months to come. Moreover, such a price means British operators will offer the FIRE for next to nothing (i.e. free) on a 12 to 24 months contracts, and will undoubtedly manage to get some of the users who were looking to get a BlackBerry smartphone to the Android camp. We’ll see…
