What’s the most popular Windows Phone? [Infographic]

What's the most popular Windows Phone?

We have a soft spot for Windows Phone because we believe that it is a fresh take on mobile computing but it has been a major flop with consumers so far. Still, there’s some neat information in an infographic from KnowYourMobile which shows that the most popular handset so far is the Samsung Focus, followed by the HTC HD7.

Another interesting tidbit is that 4 percent of users are already on Windows Phone Mango. This software update brings third-party multitasking, Twitter integration and more and those already using are likely developers or hardcore tinkerers. I won’t ruin the infographic by extracting more data so take a look and let us know what you think.

“a major flop with consumers”?? hmm… the few people I know that have it are very happy with it.  You mean to say that it has not taken off with consumers? That’s because people don’t know about it. Microsoft marketing must be sleeping.  Walk in any cell store and you are unlikely to find someone that knows much about WP, and at the same time the competition locks in prime locations to display their phones in those stores.  Too bad for Microsoft, Windows Phone is just awesome and deserves much more marketing attention.

Don’t get me wrong, I really dig Windows Phone and think people should be happy with it but even Ballmer said that sales are “very small.”

    • I agree, people have this “iPhone mentality” when they walk into a store — and it doesn’t help that the salesman know nothing about Windows Phone.  The one time I happened to be in an AT&T store I got a customer to try the Windows Phone (Focus) and they ended up buying it.

What’s the most popular Windows Phone? That would be called the Oxymoron HD.

  • I’ve had my Samsung Focus for about 5 months now and love it — the live tiles themselves are just absolutely fantastic.

  • none they all suck

  • The fun in the crow’s song is that. Samsung BADA outsells Windows Phone

Windows Phone has lots of potential.  I just don’t like the syncing process you’ve to go thru just to add music, videos, pictures or any other type of file.  Same with iOS products.
RIM, Android, Windows Mobile, Nokia, and all the others let you use the phone as a storage device.  Syncing is optional.

Shocking considering all the HD2’s that are spoofing themselves as HD7’s I would have figured that would be the leader… Go Samsung
