As part of its marketing activities for the Optimus 3D, LG is collaborating with National Geographic Assignment photographers to create some 3D image and video content. The material will be shot entirely with the LG’s 3D-enabled smartphone, allowing participating photographers to “easily capture high-definition 3D content in a variety of locations.”
The elite roster of photojournalists — comprised of four photographers and two videographers — will have their work exhibited at IFA in Berlin, Germany from September 2-7, 2011. The National Geographic staff includes Steven Alvarez, Brian Skerry, Bryan Harvey, Justin Guariglia, Peter Hutchens and Steve Winter.
After that official presentation part, I would assume LG would make a portion of those photos and videos available to the Optimus 3D owners. I don’t have this confirmed though – I’m just speculating. 😉
As a reminder, LG Optimus 3D is the first tri-dual (dual-core, dual-channel, dual-memory) Android smartphone with a 4.3-inch glasses-free 3D screen, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth and so on.
