Not sure whether we should put the “hot deal” sign near this… Motorola Xoom is now available for 329 GBP (about $540) from Dixons in the UK. If this deal was available 6 months ago, we would definitely go all crazy about it; alas today it’s a very different market and I’m not sure that many people actually want Moto’s Honeycomb tablet with so many other options available for pretty much the same amount of cash. Asus’ Eee Pad Transformer is definitely a better device thanks to its detachable QWERTY keyboard / external battery pack. But if you want just the tablet “part,” you may want to grab the Xoom anyways.
The 3G-enabled Xoom, in case you wonder, could be yours for 399 GBP, which translates in about $645. Kinda steep when you look at the dollar figure…
As a reminder, the Motorola Xoom comes with a 10.1-inch screen, NVidia’s Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 32GB of internal storage, 5-megapixel camera on the back, front-facing camera for video calls, Bluetooth and so on.
