Vodafone thinks there’s money to be made in the tablet sales. The Big Red carrier used the IFA in Berlin to unveil two of its own-branded products – Vodafone Smart Tab 7 and 10, both of which will come with 1280×800 screens which is especially cool for the smaller 7-inch model. Rest of the specs include 16 or 32 GB of built-in storage, Qualcomm’s dual-core 1.2GHz processor, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, memory card slot, while Android Honeycomb is running the show.

Unfortunately we’ve no idea when exactly these two will be launched nor how much they’ll cost once released. From what I can tell, Voda will use Germany as a testbed market for the new tablets and will most likely introduce them in other European markets soon afterwards. We also have no clue which company made Smart Tabs and can only think of the usual suspects – ZTE and Huawei. Of course, we’ll follow through on this story and let you know as soon as something new comes up. Stay tuned in the meantime…
