Evernote has once again updated its Android application. The new release builds on top of the company’s recent Skitch acquisition and in that sense integrates the popular image annotation capabilities though requiring that you also have the Skitch app installed on your Android device. When you create a note or edit an existing one, you’ll see Skitch’s heart logo in the toolbar, clicking on which will open the application to let you annotate image. Then once you’re done, hit the Evernote icon in Skitch and you’ll be returned to your note.
But that’s not all, version 3.2 also brings other enhancements, including:
- Offline search for Premium users – which even allows searching of PDF documents you may have stored in Evernote.
- Slideshow view for images
- Ability to open shared notebooks from an email link
- Improved moving of notes between notebooks
- Redesigned tagging
- Ability to save files to SD card
Finally, Evernote also promised that Skitch app for iOS will be released shortly…
