Just when you thought the RAZR name was dead and buried, turns out Motorola is planning to merge together two of its most popular brands in one handset dubbed the Motorola Droid RAZR. This picture contains metadata which identifies the shooting device as something bearing that name. We all know the number one standout feature was always its slim body style, and according to Pocketnow the American manufacturer has a “notably-thin” Android handset in the works.
The phone is supposedly being placed in a line of phones Motorola is calling the “Slimline,” which is an unannounced device first revealed in a series of leaked screenshots from a website redesign. Unfortunately, no details were given about Slimline’s features, and only the back of the phone was visible in the renders.
The handset is said to sport a less-than-impressive three megapixel camera. We would classify this news as a rumor because with EXIF image data can be easily faked, but Pocketnow believes that’s fairly unlikely in this particular situation. This is all meant to be seen as more information is sure to leak throughout the next couple of weeks. The fact that Motorola is planning to reintroduce the RAZR name doesn’t surprise me – it was bound to happen at some point, right?
