It’s been a wild ride. At some point, we questioned whether Nokia will manage to launch its Windows Phone devices by the end of the year. Then finally we’ve heard Compal will make 2 million phones for the Finnish company only to have Stephen Elop confirming the news few days afterwards – the first Nokia devices running Microsoft’s mobile OS will be launched during the fourth quarter of this year. Like that’s not enough, Nokia tweeted the same thing, reassuring the markets they won’t miss the Christmas shopping season. Actually, I still think they’ll miss it in some parts of the world, but as far as Europe is concerned – it’s safe to bet Nokia Windows Phones will have their spots across store shelves throughout the old continent. Whether that will help is a different story. In about a month, the new iPhone will be launched, Samsung Galaxy S II will be available in white, and HTC Sensation XE will start selling… We’ll definitely be following Nokia’s Windows Phone “quest” and let you know as soon as we hear something new. Stay tuned…
