Huawei MediPad now available for pre-order in Singapore; Hitting Malaysia in October, US and China by year’s end

By now you’ve probably realized how much I like the MediaPad. The way I see it, it’s the best 7-inch tablet announced thus far. Sure you can put the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 in the same category but it’s unlikely it will be available this year, at least not in the U.S.

Anyway, if you’re living or working in Singapore, you’ll be glad to know that you can now pre-order Huawei’s tablet. The price is $598 SGD, which translates in about $473 USD.

As for the other parts of the world, Malaysia should get it in October, while US and China by the end of the year. We’re guessing Europe will also be part of that “year’s end” launch, though we can’t confirm that at the moment.

In any case, it’s good to see more options in the 7-inch market space and we’re looking forward major operator groups will pick up the MediaPad, only to offer it for next to nothing on a contract. Can’t wait to give it a try. 😉
