If you go on any social network today, you’re bound to see people complaining about Facebook’s redesign. Well, if you’re on an iPhone, Android or have a modern browser, you’ll be happy to know that Facebook mobile has also been redesigned.
On its blog, Facebook describes the changes to the news stream and you’ll see the blue corner on stories that it thinks you’ll be interested in when you’re viewing the mobile version. If you want to scroll down some more, you’ll hit the normal stream of your news feed. Well, it’s kind of tweaked but it will be what mobile Facebook users are used to.
On the iPhone version of the mobile Facebook, you can also hop into a carousel on the top right to determine what types of streams you’re looking at including news, status updates and more. With the world’s largest social network seeing mobile as the future, you can be sure that this won’t be the last time we see it change things around. The company’s F8 conference will kick off tomorrow and we’re fairly confident there will be some big mobile implications, including an iPad app and some strong music integration.
As for the redesign, I don’t think it’s a major issue on the mobile website. I know the desktop UI is a bit funky now but remember that everyone screams bloody murder when Facebook does anything and then people get over it and continue to use the service. What do you think of the new Facebook?
