Mobile Q&A company Opinionaided conducted a small survey between September 7, 2011 and September 13, 2011, asking its iPhone users whether they’ll upgrade to the iPhone 5. 1,011 people responded, with 49% of them saying “I do.” 😉
Of course, we shouldn’t make general judgments from such a low sample. Then again, let’s play with it: Apple has thus far sold about 108 million iPhones. Presuming 49% of all those users upgrade, we’re talking about roughly 50 million new customers. That’s an impressive figure!
And in case you wonder, the Opinionaided community is 60% male and 40% female, with an average age of 24.
Finally we should say something about the Opinionaided app. It is touted to provide the fastest way to share and receive opinions between peers on mobile devices. Users can ask questions in a variety of categories and receive dozens of responses in just a few minutes. The service generated more than 125 million total responses since launching in 2010, with the average user spending nearly three hours per month on the app.
